Our Rapid Response Team Is Here to Help
For businesses at risk of closing their doors, or mass layoff, the Rapid Response Team acts quickly to identify, troubleshoot, and provide critical resources needed to potentially avert disaster and assist employees facing layoffs.
Rapid Response provides economically challenged businesses pertinent and comprehensive information and services aimed at minimizing job losses. In the case of layoff or imminent closure. Rapid Response Team members are there to soften the blow. Working confidentially together with businesses and employees, team members routinely and successfully help dislocated workers transition to new jobs.
For The Employer
What to expect:
An initial, confidential on-site meeting between our team and your team (management and employee groups) to discuss services specific and appropriate to your particular business’ circumstances. The agenda may include types of services to be offered, dates, times, and location of services for affected workers (on- or off-site).
An orientation group meeting for affected workers will be held so they may be informed of specific services that will be provided.
Employee Services
Working together with caring employers, the Rapid Response Team can be proactive in helping displaced employees land on their feet in the wake of a layoff or closure. With the assistance of business owners and management, Rapid Response Team members can direct at-risk workers to resources and assistance available at all of our conveniently located, “One-Stop” service centers in Orange County.
Rapid Response services for employees include:
· Job Search assistance and related workshops
· State & Federal job assistance information
· Information about unemployment insurance
· Assessment/retraining
· Customized job fairs
· Job matching
· Other community resource referrals
· Access to computer, telephones, copiers, and fax machines
