Orange County Workforce Development Board, in partnership with the County of Orange, is pleased to offer a new Health Care Career initiative with Futuro Health. Through this initiative, registered WIOA participants have access to career training opportunities with Futuro Health and career services offered through the Orange County One-Stop Center (OC One-Stop). No cost services include:

  • Training Opportunities in Healthcare Career pathways with Futuro Health
  • Workshops on resume writing, interviewing techniques and 21st century career skills
  • Access to computers, internet, telephone, copier, fax machines, labor market information and much more
  • Job placement opportunities

Futuro Health is a non-profit organization focused on improving the health and wealth of communities by growing the largest network of credentialed allied healthcare workers in the nation. Futuro Health believes that investing in education and skills training and retraining results in better paying jobs for workers, better care for patients, and better workers for employers to hire.

California’s projected demand is approximately 500,000 new healthcare workers by 2024. To this end, Futuro Health launched 4 programs to dedicated to meeting this need through the following program offerings:

  1. Registered Dental Assistant
  2. Advanced Telehealth Coordinator Certificate Program
  3. Community Health Worker with Behavioral Health
  4. Health IT Specialist Program
  5. Care Coordinator: Chronically Ill Populations
  6. Care Coordinator: Behavioral Health Populations
