Orange County Virtual Job Fair: Job Seekers
A Virtual Job Fair is just like an in-person job fair, but online! Each participating company has its own virtual “booth” that you can access from the comforts of your home. Use this time to ask hiring managers questions about their open positions, their business culture, and what it’s like working for their company. Each participating company will also be giving short presentations throughout the fair. The content for each presentation is the same, so make sure to check out each company’s room to learn more!

Learn and interact with companies, discuss open employment opportunities, their company culture, why they value work flexibility and so much more.
Chat live with employers/recruiters and get interviewed through chat and video conference.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY DO I NEED TO PARTICIPATE?
Job seekers need only a computer and internet access to participate. Webcams, avatars, and photos are NOT required. Interactions between employers and participants will be primarily through text chatting. (Employers do have the ability to initiate one-on-one video chats with you. If this is the case, you should be dressed as if you were going to an in-person interview. Make that first impression a good one! We also recommend you check what is visible behind you so that there is nothing to distract the recruiter.) Note: it is acceptable to indicate to an employer that you are unable to video chat, if this is not an option for you at the time of the request.
For the best experience, job seekers should log on using an up-to-date version of Google Chrome (preferred) or Firefox from a desktop/laptop; these are required to be able to view/hear any multimedia broadcasts presented by employers. The most up-to-date versions of Safari, Internet Explorer 11, and Microsoft Edge will also work; however, you will not be able to see presentations or participate in one-to-one video chats.

Can I use my smart phone to access the virtual job fair?
Yes, you should be able to log in via smartphone.
Do I need to dress up for the job fair?
We encourage job seekers to put their best foot forward. We suggest that attendees turn on their camera for some facetime with the company.
Is this a video call and is the event recorded?
While being on camera is not mandatory, we recommend keeping it on and unmuting your microphone to introduce yourself to the hiring managers and virtually network of attendees. You will also have access to the chat box if you are unable to unmute and ask questions live.
The event is recorded, but it will not be available for attendees to access after the fair.
Do you have to attend the full 4 hours?
You do not have to stay for the whole event. We've designed a rotating schedule of company presentations so that you can attend each presentation while also being able to drop in on any company’s chatroom that interests you. You also have the option to leave the fair entirely and come back if that’s more convenient for you.
